On October 30, 2026, a presentation of the book by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, "Uzbekistan: On the Path of Sustainable Development and Prosperity," was held in Beijing, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China and the People's Publishing House of China.
The event was attended by heads of the diplomatic corps, international and regional organizations, and representatives of political, business, public, and academic circles of China.
Speaking at the opening of the event were Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olim Davlatov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China Farhod Arziev, Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Liu Haixing, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee Hong Dayong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Piao Yangfan, and others.
Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olim Davlatov noted that the presentation of the book being and its publication in Chinese are of great importance for the general public, since this work covers virtually the entire contemporary development agenda of Uzbekistan and its international positioning. He emphasized that mutually beneficial and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries has reached a new level and demonstrates impressive development dynamics.
In turn, high-ranking Chinese representatives emphasized the importance of publishing and studying the works of the leaders of states for deepening knowledge about each other and mutual learning.
Addressing the participants of the briefing, the Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO noted that the member states of the Organization advocate respect for the right of peoples to independently and democratically choose the paths of their political and socio-economic development and exchange experience in public administration.
Piao Yangfan emphasized that the mutual publication of the works of heads of state plays an indispensable role in deepening mutual understanding and mutual learning, and that familiarization with the book being presented will allow for a deeper insight into the dynamic transformations in Uzbekistan.
High praise was expressed to the impressive successes of the country in strengthening the rule of law, protecting human rights, improving the well-being of citizens, and enhancing the international prestige of Uzbekistan, which have been achieved under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The participants' attention was also drawn to the important initiatives of the heads of SCO member states, including the President of Uzbekistan, aimed at increasing multifaceted interaction within the Organization, and the readiness of the Secretariat to continue promoting their practical implementation was confirmed.
The book reflects the speeches of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the large-scale reforms being carried out in the country in the process of building a New Uzbekistan, the key directions of domestic and foreign policy, as well as interviews and articles by the Head of State published in foreign media.
