I. The SCO Emblem
The SCO Emblem is circular in shape. The overall background of the Emblem is pale green. At the center of the Emblem is a stylized depiction of the Earth’s Northern Hemisphere in blue, featuring three stylized white meridians and three stylized white parallels. The lowest parallel is depicted as a straight line.
Within the stylized image of the Northern Hemisphere, the territories of the Member States are highlighted in light blue. Below the stylized image of the Northern Hemisphere are two blue wavy bands extending from left to right and from bottom to top, narrowing toward the top. In the upper part of the Northern Hemisphere, in the area of the stylized North Pole, as well as on the upper wavy band slightly to the left of the center, there are two white spots resembling the effect of diffused sunlight.
At the top and bottom of the circle, the name “Shanghai Cooperation Organization” is symmetrically displayed in two versions: in Chinese (Chinese characters) and in Russian (Cyrillic script), respectively, in bright green.
On the left and right sides of the stylized image of the Northern Hemisphere, between the Chinese and Russian names of the Organization, two olive branches in bright green are depicted from bottom to top.
The color scheme of the Emblem symbolizes the regional character of the Organization, as well as peace, cooperation, security, and development, reflecting the fundamental objectives of the SCO.
