On October 30, 2026, a conference themed "SCO-25: Sustainable Economic Development and Digital Transformation: Youth's Vision for the Future of the SCO" was held at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing.
The organizer was the SCOLAR Network youth platform with the support of the Organization's Secretariat.
The event was opened by Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan. Welcoming the delegates, he emphasized the significance of holding the conference in the year of the Organization's 25th anniversary. He noted that "Model SCO" is an effective platform for representatives of the younger generation to gain practical experience in international interaction, improve negotiation skills, and develop agreed-upon decisions. Particular attention was paid to the importance of involving young people in discussing issues of multilateral cooperation and shaping the SCO agenda.
During the conference, the participants presented reports on sustainable economic development, digital transformation, and other relevant topics. Following the proceedings, certificate award ceremony was held for the conference participants.
