On 8–9 October 2026, the tenth meeting of the Special Working Group on Investment Facilitation of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the Tajik side in a hybrid format.
The parties summed up the implementation of the decisions of the previous meeting and discussed the progress in implementing the Action Plan for the Implementation of the SCO Economic Development Strategy until 2030 in the investment sphere. The meeting participants reviewed the results of the precious work and spoke in favor of further intensifying efforts to timely implement the adopted decisions.
In particular, they exchanged information on the current state of the investment climate and measures to improve it in the SCO member states. The parties noted the need to continue exchanging best national practices.
They paid special attention to such priority areas of investment cooperation as green energy and hydropower, the mining industry, transport and logistics infrastructure, the digital economy, agriculture and water infrastructure. The parties deemed it advisable to continue work in these areas, including on a bilateral basis. Following the event, a Protocol was adopted.
