On 29 September 2026, the SCO Startup Forum of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Dushanbe as part of the TAJ-TECH 2026 International Technology Forum.
The event was attended by representatives of government bodies, international organizations, technology companies, investment funds and the startup ecosystem. The number of participants exceeded 1,000.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Counsellor of the SCO Secretariat Behrooz Mokhtari presented information on the development of cooperation in the field of startups and innovation, noting the importance of Tajikistan's initiative to build the SCO startup ecosystem.
The Forum featured panel discussions and sessions with the participation of companies from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, China and Kazakhstan. Participants discussed the prospects for the development of technological entrepreneurship and innovative cooperation within the SCO.
The aim of the Forum was to establish direct interaction between startups, investors, government bodies and other participants in the innovation ecosystem, and to create conditions for the exchange of experience, attracting capital and developing joint projects among the Organization's member states.
