On 21 September 2026, a press conference was held in Moscow with the participation of delegations of international observers for the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation (18–20 September 2026).
The Head of the Mission, SCO Deputy Secretary-General Piao Yangfan, presented information on the results of the SCO Observer Mission's work.
The Final Statement of the SCO Observer Mission was read out. It was noted that the electoral process complied with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation and the country's international obligations. The Mission noted the high level of organization of the elections and the responsible attitude of citizens towards participating in the vote.
