On 16–18 September 2026, the SCO Forum on Traditional Medicine was held in Nanchang.
The event was attended by the Secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, the Chairman of the Chinese Committee of the SCO for Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation, the Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and other representatives of the "SCO community."
The SCO Secretariat was represented at the event by Counsellor K. Kochkonov, who briefed participants on interaction among the Organization's member states in the field of traditional medicine and their efforts to combine traditional medical approaches with modern scientific achievements.
