On September 2, 2026, a working meeting of the members of the Consortium of Economic Analytical Centers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Member States was held via videoconference under the chairmanship of the Tajik side.
During the meeting, there was a presentation of country reports prepared within the framework of a joint study on the topic: "Development of E‑Commerce in the SCO Member States as a Factor in Strengthening Regional Economic Cooperation amid Global Challenges." The parties presented an analysis of the dynamics and current trends in the development of e‑commerce, national specificities and existing barriers, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in this area within the SCO.
The participants exchanged views on the structure and further refinement of the draft joint analytical report. The final document is scheduled to be submitted in accordance with the procedure for consideration by the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the SCO Member States in October 2026.
