On September 2, 2026, a meeting was held between Ahmad Saidmurodzoda, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and Hassan Muhammad Rabha, Director of the Department of Asian and Australian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya via videoconference.
The Libyan side highly appreciated the role of the SCO in international affairs and reaffirmed Tripoli's interest in deepening interaction with the Organization.
At the request of the interlocutor, the Deputy Secretary General outlined the key outcomes of the SCO summit events held recently in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, as well as the development of the Organization's external relations.
The parties agreed to continue the dialogue between the SCO Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Libya.
