On 29 July 2026, China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) held a presentation ceremony of the Blue Book on International Situation and China's Foreign Affairs 2025-2026 in Beijing. Representatives of foreign embassies and international organisations accredited in China, including the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, attended the event.
In her welcoming remarks, CIIS President Chen Bo noted that the annual "Blue Book" is intended to inform both Chinese and foreign readers about global developments and to facilitate a better understanding of Chinese diplomacy.
A separate chapter – Chapter 29 – is devoted to China's cooperation with the SCO and the outcomes of China's chairmanship of the Organisation in 2024–2025.
The Blue Book on International Situation and China's Foreign Affairs was first published in 2006 in Chinese by the World Affairs Press. Since 2009, an English version has been published annually.
