On June 19, 2026, the presentation of Rashid Alimov's book titled "The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation: From a Regional Mechanism to a Global Factor" took place at the China National Convention Center as part of the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair.
The event was attended by officials of the SCO Secretariat, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the People's Republic of China, academic and expert circles, as well as the media.
In his remarks Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda, on behalf of SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev, expressed gratitude to Rashid Alimov for his significant personal contribution to the development of the Organisation, as well as for his unwavering attention and genuine interest in its activities. The symbolic nature of the book's release during the 25th anniversary year of the SCO was also highlighted.
Rashid Alimov's book was published by the publishing house "Ves Mir" (The Whole World) with the support of the Eurasian Media Group.
Rashid Alimov served as SCO Secretary-General from 2016 to 2018.
The 32nd Beijing International Book Fair is being held from June 18 to 22, 2026 with more than 1,700 exhibitors from 82 countries and regions around the world taking part in the event.
