On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Organisation being celebrated this year, congratulations continue to arrive at the Secretariat from leaders, heads of state bodies, international organisations and other institutions of member states.
In his congratulatory message, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that today the SCO is rightfully regarded as one of the most dynamic and influential international organisations in Eurasia and the world. Our "Shanghai family" helps to build dialogue, find practical solutions and maintain cooperation in areas where trust, responsibility and respect for the views of different parties are especially important.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev highly appreciated the contribution of the SCO Secretariat to the development of the Organisation, ensuring the continuity of its activities and facilitating the effective implementation of decisions taken by member states.
Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation Taalatbek Masadykov highlighted the achievements of the Organisation, including the establishment of a solid legal framework and effective mechanisms for interaction.
Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedevemphasised that in the context of profound geopolitical and geoeconomic transformations, global climate and demographic challenges, the arms race, technological progress—including the introduction of artificial intelligence—cooperation between the CIS and the SCO is of paramount importance.
As noted by Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia Kairat Sarybay, founded a quarter of a century ago on the basis of a shared aspiration to strengthen confidence-building measures in the border area, the SCO has reached its anniversary as a mature organisation for multifaceted cooperation.
Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure Ularbek Sharsheev expressed support for the work of the Secretariat in implementing the directives of the Heads of State aimed at improving the Organisation's activities amid the transformation of the world order and challenges to the system of international relations.
The congratulatory message from the Secretariat of the SCO Chinese Committee for Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation noted that over 25 years of joint efforts, the SCO has become a security shield, a bridge for cooperation, a bond of friendship and a constructive force in the region. The "Shanghai Spirit," based on mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for cultural diversity and the pursuit of shared development, has taken deep root in the hearts of people, becoming the fundamental foundation for the SCO's development and a banner for forging a new type of international relations.
Congratulations were also received from Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Siarhei Sivets, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Khrenin, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova, and Chairman of the Economic Court of the Commonwealth of Independent States German Nurbayev.
