On June 4–5, 2026, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Youth Forum in the Digital Sphere was held in Bishkek, with the participation of representatives from member states, officials of the Organisation, and specialists in the field of digital technologies.
The participants of the Forum emphasized the importance of the role of the younger generation in the development of digital cooperation and the formation of the region's technological space. They noted that the main objectives of the Forum are the exchange of experience, the development of innovation, and the expansion of cooperation in the field of new technologies.
SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan noted in his address that the rapid development of digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and the digital economy, makes these areas a key factor in modern economic development and public administration.
He emphasized that the youth of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states play a crucial role in the development of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the creation of digital solutions, and therefore it is necessary to create additional opportunities for young people to participate in regional projects and initiatives.

The participants discussed issues related to the development of artificial intelligence, the digital economy, technological entrepreneurship, digital culture, and international cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.
