On June 2, 2026, the second “AgroSCO 2026 Forum: Growth Strategy” was held in Minsk within the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week. The forum was organized by the National Center for Export Promotion and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
In his welcoming address Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Ahmad Saidmurodzoda noted that the SCO Development Strategy until 2035, adopted at the Tianjin Summit on September 1, 2025, emphasizes that sustainable agricultural development and ensuring food security will remain among the priority areas of cooperation within the Organisation.
He underscored the consolidated position of the member states on the importance of exchanging agricultural technologies for the development of a modern agricultural sector in the SCO region. He also informed about the key outcomes of the 11th Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture, which took place on April 15, 2026, in Bishkek under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side.
The Secretariat delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the international exhibition Belagro and the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week.
The annual international exhibition Belagro is a leading industry platform that brings together global experience in agricultural machinery manufacturing, environmentally friendly materials, and waste-free technologies. In 2026, more than 570 companies, including those from SCO member states, announced their participation in the exhibition.
