SCO Secretariat takes part in the International Security Forum
From May 26 to 29, 2026, a delegation of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), led by Deputy Secretary-General Piao Yangfan, took part in the International Security Forum held in the Moscow Region of Russia.
Hosted under the auspices of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the forum brought together delegations from 145 countries and international organizations. A total of 25 thematic sessions were held, including the 14th International Meeting of Senior Officials in Charge of Security Affairs. Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a video address to the participants.

In her speech, Piao Yangfan elaborated on the SCO's important contributions to maintaining regional peace, security and stability, as well as to reforming and improving the global governance system.
She reaffirmed the Organization's stance on advancing a fairer, more equitable and more representative multipolar world order, and its commitment to upholding the central coordinating role of the United Nations.
The Deputy Secretary-General also briefed the audience on the expansion of multifaceted cooperation within the SCO, including efforts to improve security cooperation mechanisms.
She stated the readiness of the SCO to further strengthen cooperation with all peace-loving countries, international organizations and public institutions to ensure peaceful and decent living conditions for all people.
