On May 19, 2026, at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Beijing Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda met with Chairperson of the european analytical center "Global Neighbours" Jovanka Porshe.
The guests presented information about the activities of the organization based in Vienna, Austria. It serves as a neutral analytical platform for discussing issues of strategic interaction between Europe and Asia with the participation of former and current political figures and business community representatives.
A. Saidmurodzoda spoke about current issues on the SCO agenda, efforts to modernize the Organization's activities, and the enhancement of its international ties.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Global Neighbours, former UN Resident Coordinator in China Siddharth Chatterjee, and a member of the Organization's Board, former SCO Secretary-General and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov.
The parties agreed to continue contacts at working-level.
