On April 28, 2026, a delegation from the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation visited the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek.
As part of the "open lecture" series dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the SCO being celebrated this year, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization Oleg Kopylov discussed with students and faculty issues related to the formation and development of the Organisation, its current activities and priority areas of cooperation, and also informed them about the range of events planned for this anniversary date.
During a lively exchange of views undergraduate and graduate students received answers to their questions concerning cooperation within the SCO framework and prospects for its development.
The students of the Diplomatic Academy expressed interest in participating in a competition for the best article on the SCO dedicated to the Organisation's anniversary.
