At the invitation of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) a delegation of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation took part in the events of the 82nd session of ESCAP on April 21–22, 2026, in Bangkok.
SCO Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda spoke at the High-level Dialogue of Subregional Organizations and joined a collective meeting of the ESCAP Executive Secretary with the heads of delegations from international intergovernmental organizations in the Asia-Pacific region.
The delegation also met with the head of the Regional Asia-Pacific Office of UN Volunteers.
