On April 22, 2026, a meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing between Deputy Secretary-General Oleg Kopylov and a delegation led by Mendee Jargalsaikhan, Director of the Institute of Strategic Studies under the National Security Council of Mongolia.
The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of Mongolia’s interaction with the SCO as an observer state, as well as on the topic of expert and analytical cooperation within the Organization, and on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
It was assured to the Mongolian side that, in accordance with the received invitation a delegation from the Secretariat will take part in the 11th International Forum “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue” on June 4–5 this year.
