On April 16, 2026, a regular meeting of the Working Group of Experts on Drug Demand Reduction of the Meeting of Heads of Competent Authorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States, empowered to combat illicit drug trafficking, was held via videoconference under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side.
During the event the participants exchanged views took place regarding the trends in the spread, threats, and response measures related to the abuse of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and addictive substances.
