On April 9–10, 2026, a delegation from the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization took part in the anniversary 10th St.Petersburg International Labor Forum.
The head of the delegation, advisor at the SCO Secretariat Kazybek Kochkonov delivered a welcoming address, in which he informed the participants about the work carried out by the Organization's member states in this field. He emphasized that, amid the transformation of the global labor market driven by digitalization and the development of the "platform" economy, the SCO countries face the task not only of adapting to changes but also of establishing new, fair rules of the game that ensure the protection of workers' rights.
The St.Petersburg International Labor Forum is the largest discussion platform in Eurasia on labor relations issues. The Forum annually brings together thousands of professionals from government, business, education, and trade unions. The central topics include staffing, labor productivity, labor migration regulation, and modernization of the employment system.
