On April 7–8, 2026, a meeting of experts was held at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing, chaired by the Uzbek side in a hybrid format. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the draft declaration of the SCO Council of Heads of Member States on strengthening multilateral partnership for nuclear security.
A substantive exchange of views took place regarding the draft document.
