On March 31, 2026, a meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing between Deputy Secretaries-General Sohail Khan and Oleg Kopylov and the leadership of the China-SCO Economic and Trade Institute.
The parties exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation between the Institute and SCO member states in the fields of professional education, scientific research, and the expansion of trade and economic ties.
The China-SCO Economic and Trade Institute was founded in 2022 in Qingdao, China. The Institute offers various educational programs in the areas of language training, economics, and business for representatives of SCO member states and Belt and Road countries.
