From March 16 to 19, 2026, in the city of Osh (Kyrgyz Republic), a regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation took place under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side.
The parties considered a wide range of issues of interaction within the Organisation, with an emphasis on preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO Member States in Bishkek, including drafts of final documents.
The participants also discussed preparations for the meetings of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) and the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organisation's Member States.
They paid considerable attention to the implementation of the decisions of the Heads of Member States on improving the Organisation's activities, in particular, strengthening its legal and regulatory framework.
An exchange of views took place on a number of initiatives in the areas of security, trade and economic cooperation, transport and logistics interaction, ecology, and humanitarian exchanges.
The parties confirmed the commitment to further enhance practical cooperation and ensure high-quality preparations for the upcoming high-level and top-level events.
