On March 18, 2026, a meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Beijing between SCO Deputy Secretary-General Т.R. Midhun and Chen Xupeng, Representative for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO).
The parties exchanged views on current issues of interaction between the SCO Secretariat and GEIDCO in the energy sector.
Mutual interest in further expanding cooperation was confirmed.
