On February 25, 2026, a meeting of experts from the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held via videoconference, chaired by the Russian side, to discuss the draft Action Plan for 2026-2030 on the implementation of the Program for Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation of the SCO Member States.
Following the discussions, the parties made a significant progress in coordinating the document. The parties plan to hold the next meeting after working through a number of issues through the relevant line ministries and agencies.
The Program for Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation of the SCO Member States is aimed at the comprehensive development of trade, economic, and investment interaction based on transparent, predictable, and stable conditions for the development of sectoral ties, increasing mutual trade volumes, and expanding investment cooperation in the interests of improving the well-being of the peoples of the Organization's countries.
