On February 14 2026, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Nurlan Yermekbayev met with the delegation of the China Horse Industry Association, headed by its Secretary-General Yue Gaofeng, at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing.
During the meeting, Yue Gaofeng invited the SCO Secretariat and Member States to take part in the events organized by the Association in the Year of the Horse.
Nurlan Yermekbayev informed about the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the presidency of the Kyrgyz Republic in the SCO, as well as the plan of events to mark the 25th anniversary of the Organization this year.
The two sides discussed the upcoming World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan in 2026, which will take place during the SCO summit.
An agreement was reached to maintain regular contacts.
The China Horse Industry Association is a registered public organization founded in 1976. It assists state authorities of the People’s Republic of China in improving the national equestrian industry, organizes exhibitions and fairs, and maintains cooperation with foreign organizations.
In July 2025, the Association, together with partners from the UAE, held latest round of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) in Qingdao, at the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA) .
