Excerpt from the letter from Nurlan Yermekbaev, SCO Secretary General, addressed to Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:
It is with profound sorrow that I learned about the terrorist act that occurred in a mosque in Islamabad on 6 February 2026, which caused tragic loss of lives.
This confirms once again that we need to unite our efforts in order to cooperate in countering the "three forces of evil" - terrorism, separatism and extremism.
I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
