On January 19, 2026, in Singapore, as part of the "SCO Talks" project the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Ahmad Saidmurodzoda visited the S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS).
During the visit he met with RSIS Senior Fellow, former Singaporean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Cambodia, Lawrence Anderson, and RSIS Research Fellow, member of the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Daniel Balazs.
During the discussion DSG Saidmurodzoda provided detailed information on the formation and evolution of the SCO, key outcomes of the 2025 Tianjin Summit, unified assessments of member states on security issues, as well as the Organization's international relations. Parties held a lively exchange of views. Deputy Secretary-General answered questions from the RSIS representatives. The parties agreed to maintain working contacts between the SCO Secretariat and RSIS.

RSIS combines several research centers and programs, including the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, the Centre of Excellence for National Security, the Centre for Non-Traditional Security Studies, and the Programme on Studies in Inter-Religious Relations in Plural Societies. The School also implements several master's degree programs.
