On December 9, 2025 under the chairmanship of the Iranian side a meeting of experts was held to discuss the initiative to establish an SCO Committee in the field of new, advanced, and transformative technologies.
The event took place via videoconference with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries and agencies of the SCO member states.
The parties confirmed their strong interest in strengthening scientific and technical cooperation and implementing joint innovation projects and agreed to continue further work on the mentioned initiative.
