Regarding Contacts with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs

On December 4, 2025, at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing, Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan held a meeting with Edem Wosornu, Director of the Operations and Advocacy Division of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The parties discussed prospects for the further development of interaction between the SCO Secretariat and OCHA in accordance with the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding. They exchanged views on issues related to emergency response and the establishment of humanitarian aid mechanisms.
