On December 2, 2025 at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda met with Sukhrob Khoshmuhammedov, Head of the External Relations and Communications Unit of the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme.
The parties discussed the development of working contacts established following the SCO Tianjin Summit between the executive bodies of the SCO and UNV. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
In the Tianjin Declaration of the SCO Council of Heads of State (September 1, 2025) the leaders welcomed the adoption of the UN General Assembly Resolution of December 17, 2024, proclaiming 2026 as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development.
