On November 29, 2025 in Bishkek Piao Yangfan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Head of the SCO Observer Mission for the early parliamentary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, held a meeting with Igor Petrishchenko, First Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Head of the CIS Observer Mission.
The parties exchanged information on the activities of their observer groups in monitoring the preparation and conduct of the elections and discussed current issues of interaction between the two associations. They agreed to maintain close working contacts.
On the same day Piao Yangfan held a conversation with observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
