On November 29, 2025 in Bishkek Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO Secretariat and the Head of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Observer Mission for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic Piao Yangfan held a meeting for Mission’s members representing the Organization's member states: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On the SCO Observer Mission work on the Elections in Kyrgyzstan
The Deputy Secretary-General informed colleagues about the working principles and tasks of the Mission, emphasized the impartial, independent and objective nature of observing the electoral process, the imperative of adhering to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of the host state and the need to conduct monitoring in accordance with the norms of the national legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Mission’s members discussed the allocation of observers to polling stations on election day (November 30) to ensure maximum representation and geographical coverage. On the same day members of the SCO Mission took part in a briefing for observers organized by the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic.
