The 67th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council was held on November 20, 2025, in Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan).
The event was attended by representatives of state bodies and leading energy companies. In his remarks SCO Deputy Secretary-General T.R. Midhun highlighted the importance of ensuring the safe, reliable, and stable operation of the electric power systems of the Organization's member states in accordance with the SCO Member States Energy Cooperation Development Strategy until 2030, which was adopted at the 2024 Astana Summit.
He emphasized the need to develop clean and efficient technologies, coordinate efforts in the field of "green" energy and launch platforms for electricity trading.
On the sidelines of the meeting T.R. Midhun held talks with T.Kupchikov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the two organizations, including participation in events of mutual interest.
