On November 18, 2025, at the Kremlin, the heads of government (prime ministers) of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev were received by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
In his welcoming address, the head of state stated that the SCO is one of the largest regional associations not only on the Eurasian continent but also in the world as a whole. The special role of the governments of the member states in establishing specific practical work to expand multifaceted interaction within the Organization was highlighted.
Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, and SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev also addressed the participants of the collective meeting.

In his remarks, Secretary-General of the Organization Nurlan Yermekbayev noted the good coherence and coordinated work of the two chairmanships: China's in the Council of Heads of State and Russia's in the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the SCO member states, which made it possible to achieve important results following the Tianjin Summit and during the current CHG meeting. Proposals were also presented to enhance the effectiveness of the SCO's activities and the work of meetings of heads of ministries and agencies.
