On 14 November 2025, in Beijing, a meeting took place between the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Nurlan Yermekbayev, and the Deputy Director of the Administrative Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Zhou Bin.
The parties exchanged views on the main outcomes of China’s chairmanship in the SCO, the decisions adopted at the summit of the Heads of State of the Organization’s member states held on 1 September this year in Tianjin.
Nurlan Yermekbayev expressed appreciation to the Chinese side for its consistent assistance and support for the activities of the SCO Secretariat.
During the conversation, the parties also discussed issues concerning cooperation between the Secretariat and the Administrative Department of the Chinese foreign policy ministry.
