On 29 October 2025, the 12th Meeting of Justice Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Member States was held via videoconference, chaired by Konstantin Chuychenko, Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.
The meeting participants held an in-depth discussion on a broad scope of issues, including analysing the outcomes of the parties’ cooperation, setting new objectives, enhancing digital tools in the legal sphere, and defining priority areas for future collaboration in the field of justice. Delegates reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation among the SCO justice ministries as well as related agencies.
In his remarks, SCO Deputy Secretary General Sohail Khan emphasised that cooperation in the areas of law and justice constitute an integral part of the Organisation’s activities. He also outlined the key outcomes of the SCO summit held on 1 September in Tianjin, drawing particular attention to the goals set by the leaders to further advance legal and judicial cooperation within the SCO.
Following the meeting, the participants signed a joint statement.
