On October 25, 2025, the 32nd China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair opened in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, People’s Republic of China. The EXPO is being held at the SCO Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training Demonstration Base based on the Yangling National Agricultural High-Tech Industry Demonstration Zone.
The event was attended by high-level representatives from foreign countries, including member states and dialogue partners of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), heads of diplomatic missions accredited in China, industry experts, officials of international organizations, and business representatives.
The opening ceremony featured speeches by Zhu Yuxin, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); Jiang Wensheng, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the PRC; other Chinese officials and foreign guests.
In his address, the head of the SCO Secretariat delegation, Deputy Secretary General Oleg Kopylov, outlined the Organization’s priorities in the agricultural industrial sphere. He noted, in particular, that in the Tianjin Declaration of the SCO Summit (September 1), the leaders of the member states reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen cooperation in agriculture and food security, as well as in the development of agricultural science and education, considering the potential of the SCO Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training Demonstration Base. As emphasized, the significant contribution of the Demonstration Base to joint multilateral efforts has been recognized at the highest level.
