On October 23, 2025, at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing, SCO Deputy Secretary General Sohail Khan met with Luo Ligan, Executive Deputy Director of the China-SCO Center for International Legal Training and Cooperation and Vice President of the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.
The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the SCO Secretariat and the Center, particularly regarding the “SCO Oral History” project initiated by the Center.
On Meeting with Leadership of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law
Mr. Khan highly commended the Center’s efforts in promoting legal exchanges and cooperation among SCO member states, as well as its active participation in events celebrating the SCO’s 25th anniversary. He also expressed the Secretariat’s readiness to jointly organize relevant activities within the SCO framework.
The China-SCO Center for International Legal Training and Cooperation was established at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law in line with the initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping at the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO Member States held in Bishkek on September 13, 2013. Based on this platform, the Chinese side has been assisting in the training of legal professionals for SCO member states.
