On October 14-17, 2025, the first meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, under Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship.
The event was attended by national coordinators from 10 member states, representatives of the SCO Secretariat, and the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed the Kyrgyz Republic’s chairmanship plan for the Organization for 2025-2026. A productive exchange of views took place on improving the Organization’s activities, preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of SCO member states (Moscow, November), and other events aimed at enhancing practical cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
