On October 14, 2025, at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing, SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev held a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, Jukka Salovaara.
At the request of his interlocutor, the Secretary-General provided an overview of the main outcomes of the SCO Summit held on August 31 – September 1, 2025, in Tianjin, China. He also spoke about ongoing efforts to enhance the Organization’s activities and addressed other pressing issues on the current agenda.
The interlocutor, in turn, shared information on Finland’s foreign policy priorities in the SCO region, emphasizing Helsinki’s commitment to maintaining friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the Organization’s member states.
