Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Nurlan Yermekbayev, received a delegation from the China Association for the Promotion of Development Financing at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing. The delegation was led by the Association’s Vice President, Li Zhigang.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General briefed the Chinese delegation on the current state of SCO cooperation in the financial, banking, and investment sectors. He also outlined the work of the SCO Interbank Consortium and discussed forthcoming steps to implement the political decision, adopted at the Tianjin Summit on September 1, to establish the SCO Development Bank with the participation of interested member states.
Meeting with Delegation from China Association for the Promotion of Development Financing
The two sides exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation, including the Association’s involvement in fostering practical collaboration within the SCO framework through joint specialized events and the provision of expert consultations.
Founded in 2013 at the initiative of the China Development Bank, the China Association for the Promotion of Development Financing is a public organization aimed at bridging the financial and industrial sectors. It provides expert and analytical support and works to advance international financial cooperation.
