On 2-3 October 2025, Kazakhstan Energy Week 2025 was held in Astana as part of the 16th Eurasian Forum. The event focused on the development of a new energy system.

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayevaddressed the delegates with a welcoming speech, which was read out by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

In his address to the plenary session, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Ahmad Saidmurodzoda highlighted the growing role of Eurasian countries amid the transformation of the global energy sector. He emphasised the positive momentum in cooperation among SCO member states in the energy sphere, including through the implementation of the SCO Energy Cooperation Development Strategy until 2030 (adopted in 2024) and the Roadmap for its execution (2025).

The head of the SCO Secretariat delegation also took part in a news conference, responding to questions from representatives of Kazakhstani and internationalmedia.

Events during Kazakhstan Energy Week brought together over 2,500 delegates from more than 50 counries worldwide.
