On September 26, 2025, a peace conference was held in Beijing dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance of the Chinese People to the Japanese Invaders and in the World Anti-Fascist War.
The event was organized by the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament. It was attended by Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of the CPC Central Committee Lu Kang, representatives of the diplomatic corps, veterans and other high-ranking guests.
In his greeting to the delegates, Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, noted that the Great Victory made possible by the unity of the peoples of all peace-loving countries in opposing Nazism, fascism and militarism determined the future course of world history and created conditions for the formation of a stable system of international relations that guarantees the peaceful development of mankind. The need to cherish the memory of the heroic deed of the peoples and firmly defend the inviolability of the results of the Second World War was emphasized.
