On September 16, 2025, on the side-lines of the Global Forum on Cooperation in the Field of Public Security (Lianyungang, China), Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Nurlan Yermekbayev met with the Authorized Commissioner of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China for Combating Terrorism Yue Xuhu.
Nurlan Yermekbayev informed the interlocutor about the results of the Tianjin SCO Summit (September 1, 2025), noted the key achievements of the Organization and the current tasks facing it, highly appreciated the contribution of the Chinese side to the development of security cooperation during the PRC presidency in the SCO.
Yue Xuhu, in turn, thanked the Secretary General for the support of the Chinese presidency, expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation in the field of security, and presented a number of specific proposals in this regard.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects for further deepening cooperation, confirming their mutual readiness for the practical implementation of the initiatives put forward by the heads of the SCO member states at the Tianjin Summit.
