On September 9, 2025, in Beijing, T.R. Midhun, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, met with Arzbek Kojoshev, Member of the Board (Minister) for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The interlocutors exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two organizations in the areas of transport and logistics infrastructure, energy, and agriculture.
T.R. Midhun, in particular, emphasized that the impulse to develop energy cooperation within the SCO was given by the adoption at the Astana Summit in 2024 of the corresponding Strategy for 2030, as well as the Roadmap for its implementation at the recent meeting of the Council of Heads of State Members of the Organization in Tianjin.
A. Kojoshev, in turn, underscored the necessity of strengthening cooperation in the transport sector, which holds great significance for the economic development of the countries in the region.
