On August 20, 2025, a presentation of the publication “The History of the SCO in a New Era” took place in Beijing. The event was chaired by President of the Chinese Institute of International Studies, Chen Bo, and Director of the publishing house “World Knowledge”, Cui Chun. Among the honored guests were Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Liu Bin, other high-ranking foreign officials, representatives of diplomatic circles, analytical centers, and public organizations of the SCO member states.
Addressing the attendees, Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO, Ahmad Saidmurodzoda, highly praised the work carried out by the Chinese side within the framework of its SCO chairmanship, noted the importance of publishing the book “The History of the SCO in a New Era” for promoting a positive image of the Organization on both regional and global scales. He also spoke about the progress of cooperation between the “think tanks” of the SCO countries, confirming the Secretariat’s readiness to continue assisting in advancing cooperation in this field.
The book “The History of the SCO in a New Era”, developed by the Center for the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, was published by the “World Knowledge” publishing house. The publication collects examples of practical cooperation within the SCO in the fields of culture, education, healthcare, tourism, sports, science and technology, etc.
