On August 6, 2025 in Avaza (Turkmenistan) on the side-lines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Ahmad Saidmurodzoda held a meeting with the European Union's Special Representative for Central Asia, Eduard Stipreis.
The interlocutors exchanged information on the measures taken by the two organizations to promote the Central Asian agenda. The European partners were informed about the preparations for the upcoming SCO summit and related events in Tianjin.
An agreement was reached to maintain working contacts between the SCO Secretariat and the office of the EU Special Representative for Central Asia.
