On July 15, 2025, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states, as well as the Secretary General of the Organization, Nurlan Yermekbayev, and the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) SCO Ularbek Sharsheev in Beijing at the People's Assembly House was received by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The meeting took place on the eve of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states in Tianjin.
The Chinese leader emphasized that the China consistently considers the development of cooperation within the SCO as a priority area of its foreign policy. It was emphasized that in the 24 years since the establishment of the SCO, following the principles of the "Shanghai spirit", it has become a model of a new type of international relations and has achieved significant success in various areas of cooperation.
The parties expressed full support for China's efforts as chairman, and also noted their readiness to ensure the successful holding of the upcoming meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Tianjin this autumn.
